XBRL Filing Deadlines in Singapore

Your XBRL deadline is effectively your Annual Return deadline — and that runs on a different clock depending on whether your company is listed.

Last reviewed: July 2026

This is educational, not a compliance calendar

Exact deadlines depend on your company's financial year end and listing status. Confirm your company's actual due dates with your company secretary or ACRA directly.

Two different clocks, based on listing status

XBRL filing isn't a separate deadline from your Annual Return — the financial statements (in XBRL, where required) are lodged together with it. The clock starts from your company's financial year end (FYE), not the calendar year:

LISTED COMPANIES FYE 5 months — AGM + AR + XBRL due NON-LISTED COMPANIES FYE 7 months — AGM + AR + XBRL due
Listed companies get five months; everyone else gets seven
Company typeDeadline from FYE
Listed companies5 months — AGM, Annual Return, and XBRL financial statements all due within this window
Non-listed companies7 months — same combined requirement, longer window

Because the Annual Return, AGM, and XBRL filing all move together from the same FYE-based clock, Singapore's system is structurally simpler in one respect than jurisdictions where the equivalent filings run on genuinely separate dates — but that also means a single missed FYE-tracking mistake affects everything at once.

A simple way to avoid missing it

Set your FYE and the resulting 5-month or 7-month deadline as calendar entries the moment your financial year closes, rather than waiting until AGM planning begins.

What happens if a deadline is missed

Late filing attracts ACRA composition fines, and repeated lateness carries more serious consequences for directors. See our late filing penalties guide for the specifics.
